About Me

I started this page after my daughters dance classes led me to feel less than confident in my ability to make the most of her dance experience. Once it was clear to me that her passion for dance wasn't something that would pass shortly after the sparkly costumes were hung up for the year, I started looking for guidance in how to shape her experience to benefit her most. I came up mostly empty handed.

We've been shooting from the hip for the last couple of years, and now that the end of the year recital is over, I think I'm ready to dive into a little project. It's my hope that by sharing openly my thoughts and experiences as a mom of a younger dancer, others may be able to find some realistic exposure to help guide their path in dance. I'd also love feed back from other moms who've been there, done that.

I'm all about keeping it real, so to begin, I am not a professional in any way shape or form. The posts contained in this blog are simply my real life tales of the dance world and my perception as a parent of a dancer. It's my goal to support and encourage my child to do her best at something she loves. This is just a story about our journey. I hope you enjoy and I welcome your comments and feed back!

Thanks!
